We had the pleasure of capturing these two bubbly beautiful souls Deeksha & Jayanth in their favorite destination Coorg. It all started early morning near our home, Deeksha and Jayanth came in their XUV500 to pick us up. This was the first time we traveled along with the couple in the same car, Although we usually travel in different cars since we carry a lot of gear, Jayanth insisted that we travel together. We soon realized this actually helped us connect and get closer with the couple. We stopped on the highway to hydrate ourselves with some coconut water while women did their shopping. Once we arrived at Coorg, We stayed at the Royal Home Stay in Mekeri Village Kaggodlu post, Madikeri aka Coorg. The owner who is a close friend of Jayanth and who was a very warm inviting host made sure we had a comfortable stay during our time there.
We rested for some time after having a wholesome home stay meal, While the couple ate and got ready. Since we documented their wedding, They were very comfortable with us which made it easy to pose them and get expressions. We started the shoot in the homestay owner’s coffee plantation and used his Jeep as a prop. We then moved on to the place called Gaddige- Which is the Raja’s tomb, Built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, this beautiful structure of Gaddige Raja’s tomb is the mortal remains of the Kodava Royalty. We took a lot of pictures with the architecture over there, The evening quickly turned to-night and we drove back to the homestay. At the homestay, we had a bonfire and some spirits before calling it a day. The next day we woke up early morning and borrowed Jayanth’s uncle car and headed to the Mandalpatti which is a grassy knoll of Pushpagiri forests in the Western Ghats, Mandalpatti is a spectacular and unique vantage point in Coorg. But it was very windy at the peak. The drones are not allowed near the viewpoint and I’m glad the forest officer asked us to leave the drone bag with them. Since there was no way on earth we could have flown the drone in that wind. We had some hot Maggi after the shoot which was our breakfast there and then headed to a place with waterfalls which was close by. Thanks to our trusty foldable dress changer tent, The couple quickly changed into their next attire. After we completed the photo session near the falls we drove back to the home way to enjoy some amazing Coorg pork dish for lunch. The homestay owner even lent his own wedding attire for the couple to take some pictures with. You will see these pictures at the end of the slide show.
Overall we had an amazing experience and we want to say big thank you to the wonderful couple who were also amazing hosts for us the time. We are sure they will enjoy the photographs and remember those fun moments we had together.
Below is the slide show of the moments captured during our time with them.
